New Horizon NGO and City Library announced a PUBLIC CALL for youth leaders and civic activists from Ulcinj to apply for the training program \u201cEmpowering Public Participation in Decision Making\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The program includes a series of five one-day seminars which aim to advance the knowledge of youth activists on the concept of local self-government, its role on the government structures, the position of the local parliament, mayor and local government entities \u2013 the competencies and functions of the local government and feasible ways for citizens to use the services of public administration entities, to access the information of public significance, etc.<\/p>\n

Training sessions will be held once a week at the premises of the Youth Corner, in the City Library.
\nUpon completion of the workshops, participants who have successfully finished the training program, will be awarded certificates for the gained knowledge and experience.<\/p>\n

Program participants will be given the opportunity to communicate directly with local government representatives through study visits in order to get closely acquainted with the work of the municipal entities. The project also enables youth leaders to participate in conducting field research, organizing public events, media campaigns, press conferences etc.<\/p>\n

The project\u2019s focus will be on the realization of an educational and information campaign on the use of e-Participation and e-Petition \u201cThe Voice of Citizens\u201d services and also the promotion of proactive transparency as a standard value of a good public administration.<\/p>\n

These activities result from the wider scope of the project \u201cMY VOICE IN MY MUNICIPALITY\u201d<\/strong>, which is implemented by New Horizon NGO in partnership with NGO \u201cUl info\u201d and the City Library \u2013 Ulcinj.<\/p>\n

The project is funded by the Ministry of Public Administration of Montenegro<\/a>, in the framework of the public competition \u201ce-Democracy – Participate, Propose, Change\u201d, in the field of public administration reform.<\/p>\n

Candidates interested in participating in this program must complete the application form below. The number of participants is limited.
\nOnly selected candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n
