{"id":3522,"date":"2012-12-24T16:06:50","date_gmt":"2012-12-24T15:06:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ngo-horizonti.org\/en\/?p=3522"},"modified":"2015-12-24T04:22:07","modified_gmt":"2015-12-24T03:22:07","slug":"nato-youth-diversity-dialogue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ngo-horizonti.org\/en\/nato-youth-diversity-dialogue\/","title":{"rendered":"Nato &#038; Youth Diversity Dialogue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In aim of approaching the youth\u00a0current social processes, &#8220;New\u00a0Horizon&#8221;, with the support of the\u00a0U.S. Embassy in Montenegro,\u00a0continues the practice of organizing\u00a0educational programs on the EuroAtlantic\u00a0integration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Project NATO &amp;\u00a0YOUTH DIVERSITY DIALOGUE\u00a0provides a unique opportunity to young people at the local level to get information on\u00a0topics such as: NATO a\u00a0political and military organization, the basic concept of global\u00a0security, the concept of collective defense, the transatlantic link, Montenegro and EuroAtlantic\u00a0integration, NATO in humanitarian operations and environmental protection, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This project will include sets of activities, ranging from educational sessions, to certain\u00a0educational and informative workshops, distribution of informative and educational\u00a0materials to wider civic groups in the form of brochures and flyers, street events, study\u00a0exchange visits, visits to the institutions,etc. Workshops will be held every Saturday and\u00a0will last for two hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This project will help and contribute to increase youth capacities at an individual and\u00a0group\/community level as well as to set bridges of communication between institutions\u00a0and youth, to bring new ideas, contribute to better understanding of the functioning of\u00a0the State institutions, NATO Alliance and European Union.<br \/>\nAt the end of the program, participants will receive a certificate for\u00a0successful\u00a0participation in this program.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Workshops<\/h3>\n<p><p>Invalid Displayed Gallery<\/p><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Within\u00a0this\u00a0project, on November 9th our\u00a0city visited a group of high\u00a0school students from the north\u00a0of our country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After encounter with our\u00a0students, came a joint visit to\u00a0the Municipality. Warm\u00a0welcome wished them a\u00a0Deputy Mayor of Ulcinj, Met\u00a0Gjoni and parliamentary\u00a0Deputy, Genci Nimanbegu. On\u00a0this occasion, the guests visited\u00a0the Old Town, Museum, Turbe at the Small beach and a newly built &#8220;Sailor mosque&#8221;\u00a0where they were informed with the history of our city by journalist, Mustafa Canka and\u00a0Ismet Karamanaga, esteemed tourist guide. At the end of sights visits followed a visit of\u00a0our premises, where Ulcinj and Berane high school students had the opportunity to meet\u00a0each other better and socialize.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><p>Invalid Displayed Gallery<\/p><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After a successful cycle of\u00a0workshops on EuroAtlantic\u00a0integrations and diversity\u00a0dialogue, the project continued\u00a0with common visits of the students\u00a0from the north and south of\u00a0Montenegro.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">High school\u00a0students from Ulcinj visited their\u00a0peers in Berane on December 1,\u00a0where a\u00a0pleasurable welcome was prepared for them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Participants of the \u201cNATO &amp;\u00a0YOUTH DIVERSITY DIALOGUE\u201d<br \/>\nproject first visited \u201c\u00d0ur\u0111evi\u00a0stupovi\u201d Monastery after which came a reception at the town hall. Mayor of Berane Mr.\u00a0Vuka Golubovi\u00e6 and Deputy Mayor Mr. Braho Adrovi\u00e6, welcomed high school students\u00a0from Ulcinj. On this occasion high school students also visited the Polim museum,\u00a0Memorial House of Gavro Vukovi\u00e6 &#8211;\u00a0first Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of\u00a0Montenegro and Monument of Liberty \u2013 Jasikovac.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><p>Invalid Displayed Gallery<\/p><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fifty seven (57) high school students of diverse ethnic and\u00a0religious origin from both Ulcinj\u00a0and Berane received the\u00a0certificates on the successful\u00a0completion of the project.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">U.S. Ambassador to\u00a0Montenegro Sue K. Brown\u00a0gave remarks and presented\u00a0certificates at the closing event\u00a0for the \u201cNATO and Youth\u00a0Diversity Dialogue\u201d project at\u00a0the Info Center for EuroAtlantic\u00a0Integration in Podgorica on December 21.
