NEW HORIZON started the implementation of a new\u00a0program helping\u00a0children with special needs.The first\u00a0project in this field of activities is called \u201cAssistance that\u00a0I understand\u201d, which in the next six months will be\u00a0implemented in the rural areas of the municipality of\u00a0Ulcinj.The project is supported by The Slovak Agency for\u00a0International Development and Cooperation SlovakAid.<\/p>\n
The project is dedicated to children with disabilities in the rural areas of municipality of\u00a0Ulcinj. Through this project, “New Horizons” will support the efforts of many parents in\u00a0this area to establish an Educational Center for the treatment of children with disabilities,\u00a0but also to facilitate their efforts in providing adequate care for their children in home\u00a0conditions. All this program will be implemented through the provision of adequate\u00a0technical and material assistance for work at the Center, the translation of adequate\u00a0literature (guides, brochures, etc.) in the local language for parents and staff working\u00a0with children, and also through raising public awareness about the importance of\u00a0supporting such projects and initiatives.<\/p>\n
Within this project, New Horizon\u00a0published a special\u00a0GUIDEBOOK\u00a0for parents of children with special needs –\u00a0first of this kind in Ulcinj and Montenegro. The guidebook can be downloaded on the links below:<\/p>\n
