New Horizon NGO is launching a new project that aims at fighting corruption through encouraging media channels that operate in Albanian language in Montenegro and civil society activists, to investigate and report corruption, educate the public about corruption and monitor the implementation of Public Administration Reform.<\/p>\n
This project will help media representatives and CSO activists to strengthen their professional capacities through a specialized training program concerning government accountability issues, watchdog techniques in fighting against corruption, civic journalism, free access to information, techniques about investigative reporting, etc. <\/p>\n
Within this project we will announce an open call to the public for awarding investigative stories. This activity will encourage and promote civic and investigative journalism among the wide public and media channels that operate in Albanian language in Montenegro.<\/p>\n
In the meantime, an educational campaign will circulate on different media channels. This campaign aims at promoting greater citizen participation in decision making process, mechanisms for combating corruption and proactive transparency.<\/p>\n
